Poisoning
Poisoning is affect from snake and spider bites, the inhalation of chemicals, injection of drugs, or ingestion of contaminated food, medicines, cleaning products, alcohol or pesticides.
First Aid:
1. D.R.S.A.B.C.D
2. Dial 000 for ambulance then 13 11 26 for Poisons Information Line.
3. Call the NSW Fire Brigadeif thereis gas or smoke contamination.
4. If the poison was..
- Ingested : do not cause victim to vomit or give anything to mouth.
- Inhaled : get victim to get fresh air and loosen up their clothing.
- Absorbed : remove contaminated clothing and shower the victim.
